For those who have decided to seek treatment for their addiction, the first question is where to go for treatment.  It is not like running down to the nearest 7-11 and picking a up six pack.

Many considerations go in to the selection of a treatment center.  One significant issue is whether to seek treatment locally or to find a center away from ones daily stomping grounds.  There are some positive aspects of traveling to a treatment center away from home.  One aspect is that it gets you away from friends and family so you can focus on your recovery.  This is important, because recovery is hard work.  You need to focus on yourself and what you need to do to break the addictive cycle.  It also gets you away from familiar places, like the local tavern, which could trigger those cravings you are trying to defeat.

At Pacific Recovery, we have clients from all over the state of Oregon and the country. Of course we have many former clients from the major Oregon population centers, Portland, Salem and Eugene. We also have many clients from the Oregon coast:  Astoria, Seaside, Tillamook, Pacific City, Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, Newport, Waldport Florence and Bandon.  Not only the coast, but we have alumni from all the Central Oregon cities, such as Sisters, Bend, La Pine, and Redmond.  Of course, we have many clients from Eastern Oregon as well.  Burns, La Grande, Pendleton, Baker City and Ontario.

Because we can provide a fresh setting to get a fresh start, we get clients from all over the state.  And the country for that matter.

Of course, Pacific Ridge is one of leading recovery centers on the West Coast and has developed a treatment system that is considered the Gold Standard that other treatment center model themselves after.  But that discussion is for another day.
